“Children’s rights are your superpowers, they belong to all children and make you strong! Find out about your rights, such as having your say, protection, education and leisure time and get help if there are problems.” – Katharina Skorpik, UNICEF Österreich Senior Specialist Advocacy & Research

“Every idea has value and the opinions of children should be listened to and taken seriously. It is my wish that every child in the world knows this and experiences it.” – Corinna Geißler, Head of Advocacy & Children’s Rights, UNICEF Österreich

“Children’s rights are immensely important for children, for adults, for our society in Austria and in the global context of our international community. The Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted in 1989 was a milestone and remains so. Children knowing their rights is the foundation for them to take responsibility for themselves and to know and learn to respect the rights of others. Only if we make these human rights real can progress be made towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals and the global focus be on long-term positive developments with respect to the challenges we face all over the world. Every child has the right to grow up in safety and security, healthy and happy,” says Christoph Jünger, Executive Director of UNICEF Österreich
